These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and participation in any hunting safari or related service provided by Horizon Hunting Safaris (“we”, “our”, “us”).
A 50% deposit of the total daily rate (excluding trophy fees) is required within 2 months of booking confirmation to secure your safari.
Accepted currencies: US Dollar, Euro, or South African Rand.
Final balance is due one month prior to arrival in South Africa.
Additional trophy fees for animals hunted or wounded (found or not) are payable on the day of departure.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to: info@horizonhunting.com
If canceled within 180 days before the scheduled hunt, no deposit refund will be given.
If canceled before 180 days, your deposit (minus reasonable expenses incurred by Horizon Hunting Safaris) will be refunded.
Trophy fees apply to all animals hunted, wounded, or lost, based on visible evidence (e.g., blood, bone, hair, fluids, etc.).
Wounded animals not recovered are subject to 15% VAT in addition to trophy fees.
Final assessment of trophy fees is made by the professional hunter.
All clients are required to sign an indemnity agreement upon arrival.
Horizon Hunting Safaris is not responsible for:
Injury, loss, theft, damage, or illness incurred during the safari.
Delays due to weather, transport issues, or wildlife unpredictability.
Horizon Hunting Safaris acts as an agent in arranging transport, accommodation, and services provided by third parties. We are not liable for:
Personal injury, accidents, or death
Force majeure (including weather, acts of God, or political unrest)
Delays or changes caused by airlines or transport providers
Clients are advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance.
Please inform us of any medical conditions or allergies beforehand.
Clients are responsible for securing appropriate visas, passports, and vaccinations.
Clients bringing their own firearms must notify us well in advance and complete the SAP520 import permit.
Firearms and ammunition are available for rent at a nominal fee.
You are responsible for the care and maintenance of any rented gear or personal equipment.
Ethical hunting practices are strictly enforced.
Alcohol is prohibited before or during hunts.
The professional hunter’s decision is final in all matters of safety, legality, and hunting practices.
All disputes will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal proceedings must be initiated in South African courts.
If you accept and proceed with booking a hunting experience with Horizon Hunting Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
